ABOUT TIM
Having recently transitioned Set Design from Architecture, I am always looking for new opportunities to build upon my portfolio of work in FIlm & TV. I am a licensed Architect registered with the ARB in the UK, having accumulated almost 4 years working experience between Morgan Architects and Kettle Collective in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Since beginning work as a Set Designer, I have had the pleasure of working on the highly anticipated Harry Potter production by HBO, under the art direction of Toby Britton and Mara LePere-Schloop.

I grew up in the Scottish seaside town of North Berwick before moving to Aberdeen to attend University for Architecture, where I proved myself to be hardworking, highly motivated, and adaptable; having taken on the challenge of an ERASMUS semester abroad in Amsterdam during my second year. While there, I greatly broadened my understanding of design and architecture, living in an environment with a unique design process, and learning to communicate effectively across language barriers.

As a prospective-Architect, I gained experience working under the wing of Tony Kettle (Falkirk Wheel, Lakhta Centre), on expressive, high profile international projects, before later finding more local work at Morgan Architects as I built a knowledge of country-specific legislation and building standards in preparation for my professional licensure exams.

As a qualified Architect, I was quickly entrusted to lead 3 projects concurrently for the studio; each Grade A Listed buildings within Edinburgh's UNESCO World Heritage Site and Conservation areas.

Since leaving Architecture for Set Design I have been able to utilise my knowledge of historical construction and architectural detailing to find appropriate solutions to unresolved design details and capitalise on my skills in 3D modelling and technical drawing.
